Katie

I met Katie when she was about five. I think I might have fallen in love with her, a little before I fell for her mother. She was pretty feisty and I was not sure she liked me too much; but, she was special and had energy and strength even at that age. Today, she works too hard taking care of her children and doing her job. Katie could always do whatever she set her mind to and while we try to help a little, she just keeps going.

Jill

My daughter Jill is pretty special. She is beautiful, smart and a good person. I think about her a lot and always hope she is happy and well. I have always been proud of her (well, maybe that thing with the Disney Land trip wasn’t so good); but, otherwise all good.

The Day Swift Came Home

My dog Swift is a little different. She has a complicated history. She is a rescue dog; who is pretty much afraid of new things and strangers in general. She bit my grandson and we gave him back to Eric, who tried; but, had to give her back to the shelter she came from. We couldn’t live with Swift in a shelter, so I went to get her back. The girl at the front desk gave me a hard time; but, after a little begging the manager relented. When Swift was about 50 feet away from me, she broke away from the handler and charged. It felt great and I said “Get your things, I have come to take you home”.

RF Blaster

This is something called an RF/IR Blaster. It is the most wondrous thing. Suppose you have a ceiling fan with a remote control and you want to make it a smart device controlled by Siri and your phone. This will learn the RF signals of your remote and using a “Shortcut” let you say “hey, Siri, turn on the living room fan”. Very cute.
